ACTING - "Telling a Story"

from $235.00

May 3-4, 2014
With Director/Acting Teacher David Kaplan

In what way is acting in a play telling a story to the audience? During this weekend actors will learn specific repeatable techniques – how and what to do – to analyze any play as if it was a story. Applied to texts as varied as Shakespeare, Tennessee Williams, and Sarah Ruhl, thinking of acting as storytelling frees an actor to create a role, further the action of the play, and most importantly excite an audience, moving those who listen to thought and their own deep emotions.
